Holi

Holi and Vasant Utsav, the festival of colors and happiness, falls on Pratipada on the dark half (Krishna Paksha) of the Chaitra month according to the Hindu calendar. If Pratipada straddles his two days, the first day is considered the day of Durandi (Vasant Tsav or Holi). Holi also celebrates the arrival of spring and draws inspiration from its colors. This festival is also known as Durandi which is popular in Haryana.
