Holika Dahan

Holika Dahan, the first day of the festival in 2023, is observed on the full moon day of the Hindu month of Farghan. The next day, the Festival of Colors (also known as Durendi, Durandi, Duli) is celebrated. Holi celebrations mark the victory of good over evil.

Rule
According to the scriptures of Holika Dahan, Horashtak is from his 8th day of the bright crescent of Fagan to the full moon of Fagan. All promising tasks are prohibited for this eight days of him.  This ritual has two main rules.
1. Bhadra must not prevail on this day. Vishtikaran, one of his eleven karans, is another name for Bhadra. A karan is equal to half a titi.
2. Purnima should predominate in Pradushkar. In other words, Purnima was to rule his next three moolats after sunset.
The next day, Holika Dahan (also known as Chhoti Holi) has a habit of playing with colors with joy and enthusiasm.
